Camper Camping

What a nice place to be! I really don't understand the ambivalent comments here - some think it's too loud, others think it's so quite.. I'm really happy that we found this small campingside. It's a great mixture of all of the above. Everyone is super nice and it's calm with a great view of the lake. On the otherhand there is so much that is offered. You can rent a boat, play basketball or take a bike tour around the area. The girls working on the reception are super nice and helpful and did all they can to help us with all questions and wishes. Also the other campers are all very nice and helpful, the spots are not the biggest and our neighbours had to move their table and chairs so that we could park our car properly - but that's the spirit of camping. It's a great mixture of having privacy on your spot but still not too anonymous and narrow so that you'd get to know your neighbours! The toilets and showers were always clean and very modern- the only thing that would be nice would be additional sinks, but that would be the only thing that I was missing. There even is a small outdoor kitchen with all amenities if you arrive with a small camper or tent. The only thing I could wish for is better weather, but even if that's not happening than we will probably just relax in the sauna and still enjoy the time here!

It's not the cheapest place around but the pricing policy is quite clear so its difficult to complain about it. What I can complain about is the smell though. I arrived late and initially I thought it comes from the water, lakes and rivers have distinct smell, sometimes better sometimes worse. I did not care too much because sleepy. Well, it's not the water. In this case the smell comes from a sewage treatment plant facility that is just next door and it is present for most of the day and night. I guess one can get used to it but then why should he/she in the first.place and on top of that pay premium for it? I think otherwise it would be a pleasant place. The staff was also friendly and quite pleasant but then I was also not a difficult customer. Oh, I think it's bit odd there is more showers than toilets, I think there could be more toilets but not a big issue.
